He was predeceased by: his parents, John Waits and Belle Waits; his brothers, Joe Waits and John Waits, Jr.; and his grandson Brandon Waits.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Waits of Dupont; his children, Paula Waits of Dupont and Bolden Waits, Jr. of Florida; his siblings, Jessie Beard of Dupont, Myrtle Billeaudeau of Baton Rouge, Missie Billeaudeau of Jackson, LA and William Waits of Monroe; and his granddaughter Erika Colligan (Daniel Colligan, Jr.) of Eunice. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
