With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alton Basco (Bunkie, Louisiana), who passed away on December 22, 2018 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Edward and Mary White Basco; his grandson Chad Lee Pickett; and his siblings, Janie, Ethel, Agnes, Jessie, Walton, Jay, Frank, Susie, Vera Mae, Albert and Eyvonne.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Duplechin Basco of Bunkie; his children, Alton Basco, Jr. (Reba) of Bremen, KY, Mattie Basco of Lafayette, Phyllis Glasscock (Mitchell), Regina Basco of Lafayette, Jeffrey Basco of Pineville, Sandra Brand of Hessmer, Donna Laborde of Bunkie and Brenda Kay Savage (Errol) of Dupont; and his sister Annette Verdina of Opelousas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
