He is survived by: his wife Hue Thi Nguyen; his son Han Nguyen; and his siblings, Nguyen Van Trang, Nguyen Van Nho, Nguyen Van Sau, Nguyen Van Ba, Nguyen Van Loi, Nguyen Van Thang, Nguyen Van Cuong, Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Nguyen Thi Kim Loan and Nguyen Thi Kim Phuong.
