He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Aaron Gathe and Mary Leona Gathe; his brothers, Wilfred Gathe, Davis Gathe and Frankie Gathe; his grandparents, Andrew Gathe, Clinton Mouton, Anita Martinez Gathe, Lena Martrinez, John Kerry Gathe and Adonia Patin Gathe; his nephew Randell Gathe; his nieces, Jennie Rector and Jamie Lei Gathe; and his great-nephews, Gannon Jude Sam, Jaylin James Gathe and Cameron Keyshawn Gathe.
He is survived by: his close friend Sheila Aucoin; his sons, Dewayne Beard (Sopath) and Shane Beard (Megan); his grandchildren, Atravion, Madison, Avariaun, Avery, Dhamir, Damien, Layla, Preston and Olivia; his sisters, Nita Gathe and Betty Gathe; and his nieces and nephews, Jessie, Julian, Mike, Joseph, Frankie Jr., Jamal, Summer, Carissa, Joni, Tarrisa, Jessica, Larrisa, Elizabeth, Jeanie, Jatoya and Erin. He is also survived by great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and friends.
