He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Dean Guidry Peltier; his parents, Jack Peltier and Viola Dupuis Peltier; his aunt Loretta Dupuis; and his grandmother Antoinette Dupuis.

He is survived by: his friend Dr. Warren Degatur; his children, Lance Michael Peltier (Susan) of Lafayette, Cheryl Mire (Andrew) of Breaux Bridge and Michelle Prilliman (Jeff) of Breaux Bridge; his grandchildren, Ethan Peltier, Claire Peltier, Matthew Prilliman and Kelli Prilliman; and his brother James R. Peltier of Parks.
