Thelma Trahan Melancon Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Trahan Melancon of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, who passed away on January 1, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Earl "Pete" Melancon; her sons, Kim Melancon and Troy Melancon; her parents, Letaire Trahan and Bertha Champagne Trahan; and her siblings, Lou Dugas (James), Jane LaGrone (Perdue), Birdie Brasseaux (Andres), John Trahan (Dixie), Edward Trahan (Mary) and James Trahan (Shirley).
She is survived by: her children, Michael L. Melancon (Gail), Chris Melancon (Faye), Francis "Franny" Melancon (Sandra), Mark Melancon, Todd Melancon (Melissa) and Sally Comb (Danny); her daughter-in-law Susan Melancon; and her grandchildren, Kevin Melancon, Kelly Melancon (Klyi), Kasey Melancon (Kara), Kory Melancon, Codie Liebert (Aaron), Jandy Tyl (Matt), Franny Melancon, Jr., Beth Rodriquez (Perrin), Denise Simon (Ryan), Emma Vice (Jordy), Dillion Comb and Reneé Doré (Jeremy). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 7:30 AM to 1:15 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the St. Bernard Cemetery No. (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
