He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul "Fred" Champagne and Mary Frederick Champagne; his son Mathieu R. Champagne; and his stepgrandchildren, Cole Horton and Ella Grace Horton.
He is survived by: his wife Emmaline Champagne; his son Paul "Freddie" Champagne; his stepchildren, Jessie Horton (Sharon), Kevin Horton (Esther), Scott Horton and Sherry Horton; his siblings, Ricky J. Champagne and Christine Dupoy; and his daughter-in-law Danita Champagne. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
