She was predeceased by: her parents, Whitney "Pim" Melancon and Thelma Chauffe Melancon; her stepmother Enola Champagne Melancon (Rufus Carrol Hebert); her brother Malcolm A. Melancon; and her granddaughter Ashley Nicole Hebert.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick "Rickie" Garritt; and her children, Ron C. Hebert (Tina), Richey M. Hebert (Ann), Edith R. Eldridge (Troy), Reed M. Hebert (Holly), Renee Debetaz (Jeff), Ryan A Hebert, Rachael A. Garritt (Ronald Bijeaux) and Rickie P. Garritt (Kayla). She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
