It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Dugas Story (Breaux Bridge, Louisiana), who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilbert J. Story; her parents, John S. Dugas and Mathilde Judice Dugas; and her siblings, Maydell D. Sanders, Esther D. Calais, Elsie D. Roy, Westley, Randell, Jeff, Oldon and Andre Dugas.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie Story (Kathy) of Lafayette, Janice Melancon (Rene) of Parks and Barbara Bourgeois (Leon) of New Iberia; her brother Grady Dugas (Maureen Hulin) of Parks; her grandchildren, Paige B. Schaubert (Stacie B. Migues), Terry "Noogie" Doucet (Holly D. Bourque), Denise D. Albert of Catahoula, Jason Doucet (Christopher Doucet) and Abby Story of Lafayette; her great grandchildren, Tracie Boudreaux, Kimberly Doucet, Lindsey Doucet, Noah Doucet Auston Doucet, Alex Doucet, Autum Doucet, Megan Champagne, Cassie Albert, Brylon Viator, Hunter Bourque, Rylie Bourque, Natalie Schaubert, Cameron Schaubert, Addison Migues, Ian Migues and Brock Doucet; and her great great grandchildren, Kohen Boudreaux, Maddox Boudreaux, Brooklyn Allain, Maverick Champagne, Kinsley Lewis, Aubriana Guilley, Indie Guilley and Brantley Champagne.
