It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred B. Soignier of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, born in New Iberia, Louisiana, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Thibodeaux and Blanche B. Thibodeaux; her siblings, Earl, Dennis, Lawrence, Lionel, Raymond Thibodeaux and Mary Ann Usie; her stepsiblings, Jeanne Berard and Bernel Martin; her daughters, Elaine Lanerie and Sylvia Naquin; her stepson Harry Soignier; and her granddaughter Mary Naquin.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Benoit (Vicky), Dewey "Jimmy" Benoit, Jr. (Brenda) and Mary Katherine "Kat" Hebert (DJ); her sons-in-law, Preston Lanerie, Sr. and Michael Naquin Sr.; her stepchildren, Kenneth, Butch Soignier and Priscilla Soignier Goudeau; her grandchildren, Jason Benoit, Jr., Jack Benoit, Jane Benoit Lantier, Jaron Benoit, Preston Lanerie, Jr., Jeni Lanerie Richard, Jessica Lanerie Werner, Deidra Hebert Barras, Dusty Hebert, Dani Hebert, Michael Naquin, Jr., Scarlett Naquin, Chance Naquin and Gabby Benoit; and her sisters, Mabel Muscarello, Joyce Meche and Linda West. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
