He is survived by: his wife Merlin Phillips Batiste; his daughters, Josephine Alexander, Mary Ann Batiste, Sally Joseph, Ericky Batiste, Latricia Batiste and Kimberly Batiste; his stepdaughters, Dainell Phillips and Porche Phillips; his sons, Donald Joe, Edward Batiste, Ronald Batiste, Peter Batiste, Maxie Batiste Jr. and Terrance Batiste; and his siblings, Hilda Batiste, Stella Caddie, Dorothy Charles, Mildred Batiste, Alfred Batiste, Joseph Batiste and Rocky Dave Batiste. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
