It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Semere (Breaux Bridge, Louisiana), born in Arnaudville, Louisiana, who passed away on March 31, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Semere "Chun"; her son Harold Semere "Fat"; her grandson Clifton James Calais; her parents, Mitchell Williams, Sr. and Elvina Babineaux; and her siblings, Beatrice Robicheaux, Judy Chevalier and Leroy Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Henry Semere (Louella), Horace Semere (Lisa), Mary Jeanne Semere, Geraldine Calais, Earline Ben (Jessie) and Leola Wiltz (Michael); her daughter-in-law Elaine Semere; and her siblings, Elroy Williams (Shelia), Mitchell Williams, Jr., Donald Babineaux, Herman Babineaux, Nola Chevalier (Wilfred), Shirley Grant and Ethel Boxie. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
