He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Bennett and Beatrice Degeyter Reed; his grandparents, Thaddy, Eula Castille Degeyter, Estelle Reed and Arthrimise Hayes Alleman; and his sister-in-law Donna Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Bruce Reed (Paula) and Christopher Reed (Erin); the mother of his children Violet Reed; his grandchildren, Christopher James Reed (Paige), Bob Reed (Madison) and Brooklynn Reed; his great grandchildren, Piper, Beckett, Amelia and Beau Reed; his close friend Pamela Champagne; and his brothers, Russell Reed (Norma), Charles Reed (Sharon), Patrick Reed (Janelle) and Benny Reed.
