He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dale Higley, Sr. and Faye Dunn Higley; his sons, Robert Higley, II and Todd Higley; and his brother Gus Higley.

He is survived by: his daughter Rachael Higley; and his sister Charlene Higley.
