He was predeceased by: his parents, Rogers Baltazar and Anna Williams Baltazar; his grandsons, Caleb and Nicholas Coleman; his brother Gerald Baltazar; his nephews, Jerrell Batiste and Tyrone Lawrence; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald Johnson and John Potier.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson Baltazar; his children, Kayla Baltazar-Ababio (Charles) and Devin Baltazar (Jerome) of Houston, TX; his grandson Devin Baltazar, II of Lafayette, LA; and his siblings, Mary Margaret Baltazar Potier of Parks, LA, Louette Batiste of Breaux Bridge, LA, Van Ray Baltazar, Brian Keith Baltazar of Breaux Bridge, LA and Kenny Rogers Baltazar (Hattie) of Raceland, LA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 7:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (610 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at the St. Bernard Cemetery No. (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
