It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gloria A. Hebert Newland of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin Newland, Sr.; her parents, George Hebert, II and Enola Broussard Hebert; her daughter Gloria Ann Newland; and her close friends, Dale Fontenot and Clark Thibodeaux.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Leonard and Frankie Newland Jr. (Monique); her grandchildren, Lauren Naquin Hollier (Matthew), Aaron Naquin (Jessica), Blake Naquin (Treashur), Abigail Naquin Courville (Dexter), Braxton Leonard and Cole Newland (Mallory); her brother George Hebert, III; her grandsons, Taylor Newland, Brennan Leonard and Cy Newland; and her caregivers, Lana Martin, Deacon Butch Hebert, Mel, Bessie, Tracey, Tory, Rose, Kim and Gloria. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
