He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Granger Franks; his son James "Jimbo" Franks; his parents, George Franks, Sr. and Frances Mary Nash Franks; and his siblings, Calvin Lee "Buck" Franks, Mavis Warner and Edith Rowley.
He is survived by: his children, Lee Franks (Janet Dugas), Terry Franks, Jerry Franks (Nnenna), Tonia Franks Thibodeaux (Chad Boudreaux) and Sonia Franks. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
