George Blanchard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Blanchard of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Blanchard and Marie May Broussard Blanchard; and his brother Lynn Blanchard. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Kathy" Lavergne Blanchard; his daughters, Connie Dumatrait (Chad) and Pamela Olivier (Craig); his grandchildren, Gabe Dumatrait, Hali Dumatrait, Vincent Olivier, Lucy Olivier and Dalaney Doran (Holden); his great grandchild Eloise Doran; and his pet Buster.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the St. Bernard Cemetery No. (204 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Carmelite Monastery at 1250 Carmel Dr., Lafayette, LA 70501.
