He is survived by: his wife Thelma Trahan Melancon of Breaux Bridge; his children, Michael L. Melancon (Gail) of Breaux Bridge, Chris Melancon (Faye) of Breaux Bridge, Francis "Franny" Melancon (Sandra) of Rocky Face, GA, Mark Melancon of Breaux Bridge, Troy Melancon (Susan) of Breaux Bridge, Todd Melancon (Melissa) of Breaux Bridge and Sally Comb (Danny) of Breaux Bridge; his sister Mary Ann Melancon; and his grandchildren, Kevin Melancon, Kelly Melancon, Kasey Melancon (Kara), Kory Melancon, Codie Liebert (Aaron), Jandy Tyl (Matt), Franny Melancon, Jr., Beth Rodriguez (Perrin), Denise Simon (Ryan), Emma Vice (Jordy), Dillon Comb and Renee Dore (Jeremy). He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
