It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Lewis of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, who passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Irving Lewis; her parents, James Edmond and Electa John Edmond; her siblings, Murphy, Leroy Edmond, Bernice Edmond and Rose Fontenette; her grandchild Teddy Daigle; her great grandchild Keshawn Batiste; her nephews, Arthur Batiste, Robert Batiste, Harold Abraham and Darryl Edmond; and her niece Bernice Jean.
She is survived by: her children, Jacklyn Goodie, Corine Daigle, Marcus Lewis (Pam), Erving Lewis and Clarence Lewis (Sarah); her sisters, Mary Batiste, Wilmae Abraham, Lorina Lewis and Essie Edmond; and her grandchildren, Jacoby Lewis, Geoffrey Lewis, Atlanta Mouton, Teddrick Daigle, Ary Mouton, Rhonda Batiste and Javien Williams. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 7:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - Breaux Bridge (211 Berard St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A rosary was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (610 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517). A burial was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery (610 N Main St, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517).
