He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Journet and Corrine Journet; his siblings, Sylvia, Elsie, Pervis, Palmer, JoAnne, Hubert, Herbert, Lena, Paurina, Roy and Howard; and his grandson Denzel Arceneaux.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Moody (Clyde) of Houston, TX, Donald Journet Jr. (Jessica) of Breaux Bridge, LA, Ladonna Thomas (Morley) of Breaux Bridge, LA and Peter Castille of Breaux Bridge, LA; the mother of his children Patricia Castille; his child Donavon Peter Castile (Shanna) of Breaux Bridge, LA.; his sisters, Mary Ethel Journet Singleton (Malcolm), Rose Ann Journet Perry (William) and Mary Louvesta Journet Rossyion (Clinton, Sr.) of Arnaudville, LA; and his sister-in-law LouVersa Davis Journet (Hubert) of Arnaudville, LA. He is also survived by grandchildren; (7) great grandchildren and godchildren, his godchildren; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Syrie Funeral Home from 7:00 a. m. until 9:00 a. m. All those in attendance must wear a mask or face covering.
