He was predeceased by: his parents, Michel Simon and Lillian Bonin Simon; his brother Chester Lee Simon; his daughter Elizabeth Simon DeJean; and his wife Renella Guidry Simon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carleen Marie Simon of Breaux Bridge, Karen Simon Durio of Breaux Bridge, Simone Simon of Breaux Bridge and Renee Michel Simon Babineaux (Kip) of New Iberia; his granddaughters, Lauren Durio Taliaferro (Raley), Caroline DeJean, Natalie DeJean, Alexandra Ainsley Yates, Maggie Alberry (Alan), Shelby Babineaux and Sydney Babineaux; his great grandchildren, Emma Alberry, Crew Alberry and Whitman Taliaferro; and his friends, Bobby Ayo, Larry Hanson, Johnny Martin and Dale Menard.
