He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Major and Gladys Major; and his siblings, Alice Stevenson, Martha Hawkins, Victoria Major, Beatrice Duplessis, Gloria Claiborne, Roland Major, Sr. and Philip Major, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Duplessis Major; his children, Joseph Major, Jr. (Melody), Andrea Hill (Charles Jr.) and Trenelle Collins (Lee Jr.); his grandchildren, Ashley Millet, Corey Williams, Garielle Celestine, Keisha Harris, Charne Hill, Lee Collins, Dominique Johnson, Joseph Major, Travera Johnson and Dondre Johnson; and his siblings, Geraldine Alveris (Roland) and Anthony Major (Olivia). He is also survived by 28 great grandchildren, 7 godchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church (111 Bethlehem Ln, Braithwaite, LA 70040). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
