He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobson Petty Riley Sr. and Ethel Sweeted Carrier Riley; his siblings, Hobson Jr. and Hattie R. Trufant; his wife Gloria Griffin Riley; and his son Edwin Jr. (Sharon).
He is survived by: his siblings, Lillie Mae R. Baker, Rev. Clearance Riley and Lydia Riley; his children, Jackie (Barbara), Noel (Arlene) and Stephanie Brown (late Kenneth); and his brother-in-law Andrew Griffin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
