He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gaskins and Esther Gaskins; his wife Evelyn K. Gaskins; his children, Johnny Lee Gaskins, Robbie Edmonson and Wanona Gagnard; his brother Darrell Gaskins; and his granddaughter Esther Daniels.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Anne Daniels of Dry Prong; his sister Marybeth Yeager of Big Springs, TX.; his stepdaughters, Debbie Overby and Jessica Ivey; and his grandchildren, Alysha Gaskins, Hannah Gagnard, Wesley Edmonson, Tabitha Overby, J. R. Overby, Randi Overby, Preston Ivey and Amelia Ivey. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
