We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2022, at the age of 66, John A. Mathews III of Boyce, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father John A. "Sonny" Mathews, Jr.; and his siblings, Terry Mathews and Pat Myers. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Rabalais Mathews; his sons, John A. Mathews, IV (Lori) and Jason C. Mathews (Kenna); his grandchildren, Emorie Mathews, Jett Mathews, Colie Mathews and Carlie Mathews; his mother Faye "Duke" Mathews; his siblings, Susie Williams (Jessie), Kerry Knapp (B. J.), Roy Mathews (Vickie) and Jim Mathews (Leslie); and his siblings-in-law, Emily Mathews and Paul Myers. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews; other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church or a charity of ones' choice.
