He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Abraham Joiner and Clinie Spence; and his siblings, Dewey, Doyle and Barbara Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Merilyn Gale Roberts Joiner; his children, Happi Dowling (Roy), Donald Ray Joiner, Jr. (Frank Rocco) and Ashley Abram (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Clinton, Krista, Elizabeth, Avery and Liam; his great grandchildren, Rhett, Oliver and Austin; and his siblings, Arthur Leroy Joiner (Elaine) and Patricia Manley (Bobby). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Baptist Church of Boyce, LA.
