He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Guy and Stella Josephine Lirette Ellender; his wives, Elizabeth Journee Ellender and Edith Cunningham Ellender; his siblings, Bernard P. Ellender (Ann), Arthur "Tony" Ellender, Sr., Elise E. La Bat (Allen) and Merill E. Lirette (Nolan); and also Dorothy "Dolly" Louviere.
He is survived by: his sister Alice E. Redmond; and his sister-in-law Hazel Ellender. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
