It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Josephine Conklin (Bourg, Louisiana), born in Houma, Louisiana, who passed away on October 22, 2019, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Edmond June Verrett; her mothers, Ruby Solet and Amanda Verrett Solet; her sisters, Judy Sapia and Mary Jane Solet; and her grandson Tre.

She is survived by: her husband Robert John Conklin; her children, Harold Verret (Sheila), Darrell "Cochise" Verrett (Anna), Eugene "Nappey" Verret (Fawn), Tina Williams (Kelley) and Vicky Naquin (Mike); her siblings, Junius, Joseph, Easton, Ricky Solet and Juanita Trahan; and her stepchildren, Patrick, Robert, Billy Conklin, Mildred Duplantis, Luella Clement, Theresa Conklin and Fawn Conklin. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
