He is survived by: his wife Susan Skarke; his children, Bert Skarke (Summer), Douglas Skarke (Erica), Kevin Brunet, Dayne Robichaux and Javon Ricks; his grandchildren, Ashton DeHart Jr., Jaycee Herrera (David), Alex Courteaux, Kaitlynn Skarke and Morgan Skarke; his great grandchildren, Esmeralda, Naliyah, Kalila, Carter, Ashlyn, Ayla and Ashton III; his sister Linda Self (David); his mother-in-law Therecia Belanger; and his siblings-in-law, Ivy Belanger (Arlene), Ray Belanger (Robbie), Jerry Belanger (Amy) and Lisa Bourg (Randy).
