He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta B. Matherne; his parents, Clifford P. Matherne Sr. and Lucina Neal; and his brothers, Alton Matherne, Ashley Matherne and Tommy Melerine.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacy M. Lyons; his grandchildren, Dusty P. Lyons (Blane Lacoste), Desiree Lyons (Teddy Foret) and Shawn J. Lyons (Laura Lyons); his great grandchildren, Carter Foret, Caroline Foret, Waylon Lyons and Gabrielle Foret; his siblings, Diana M. Lapeyrouse and Colton Matherne; and his half-sister Sheryl M. Scott.
