With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clifford Paul Matherne Jr. of Bourg, Louisiana, born in Montegut, Louisiana, who passed away on August 6, 2022 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta B. Matherne; his parents, Clifford P. Matherne Sr. and Lucina Neal; and his brothers, Alton Matherne, Ashley Matherne and Tommy Melerine.

He is survived by: his daughter Stacy M. Lyons; his grandchildren, Dusty P. Lyons (Blane Lacoste), Desiree Lyons (Teddy Foret) and Shawn J. Lyons (Laura Lyons); his great grandchildren, Carter Foret, Caroline Foret, Waylon Lyons and Gabrielle Foret; his siblings, Diana M. Lapeyrouse and Colton Matherne; and his half-sister Sheryl M. Scott.
