A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Richey Cemetery (999 Effie Hwy, Deville, LA 71328).

“We are so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing. He was a wonderful friend and had so much knowledge about horses. It was obvious how much he loved his job. The racing industry lost a true dedicated man.. Enjoyed visiting with him at the racetrack when we were in Shreveport. Continued prayers for his brother and son. Earl and Debbie Breaux”
