She was predeceased by: her mother Margie Alexander; her husband G. C. Fortenberry; her parent F. A. Tibbits; and her son Jerry Fortenberry. She is survived by: her children, Jonathan Thompson, Stephen Thompson (Leigh Ann), Jason Fortenberry (Jenna), Dan Fortenberry and Theresa Fortenberry; and her grandchildren, Stephen Geary, Stephanie Bailey, Meighan Kapke, Emily Thompson, Christopher Fortenberry, Jerry Fortenberry, Timothy Fortenberry, Lauren Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Benjamin Fortenberry and Emersyn Fortenberry. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rose Neath Funeral Homes - Bossier City (2201 Airline Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at the Rose-Neath Cemetery (5185 Swan Lake Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111).
