He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Jackson Lay; his children, Jerry Lynn Lay Jr. (Melissa Deann Sears), Terry David Lay (Leslie Gwyn Lay) of Southaven, MS and Christina Marcell Lay Hunsucker (Eric Michael Hunsucker) of Haughton, LA.; his brothers, James Radolph Lay of Haughton, LA. and Michael Terry Lay (Linda Lay) of Abilene, TX.; his grandchildren, Austin Garrett Lay (Madison Clair Tyler), Hunter Michael Hunsucker of Kileen, TX, Dallas Landon Lay (Maeci May Lay) of Sarepta, LA, William Henry Hunsucker of Vincenza, Italy, Gunner Lynn Hunsucker of Savannah, GA, Beau David Hunsucker of Haughton, Adrienne Jasmine Lay Kaufman (Robert Kaufman) of Lake Cormant, MS, Alexis Jewel, Mayra Elizabeth Hunsucker of Haughton, LA, Londyn Grace Daugherty of Southaven, MS and Lauryn Taylor Lay of Southaven, MS; and his great grandchildren, Westyn Michael Hunsucker of Bossier City, LA, Harrison David Kaufman of Southaven, MS, Hazel Mae Hunsucker of Bossier City, LA, Hayes Lynn Kaufman of Southaven, MS, Delta Clair Lay of Sarepta, LA and Elizabeth Austin Lay of Sarepta, LA.. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and friends.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Boone Funeral Home and Crematory (2156 Airline Dr, Bossier City, LA 71111, USA).
