James Koestner Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Koestner in Bossier City, Louisiana, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Koestner and Kathryn Koestner; his son Herman; and his siblings, Ernest, Herman, John, Anne Marie, Rosalie and Pauline.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Johnson; his children, Ernie Koestner (Kathy), Carolyn Laird (Tad), Carl Koestner (Lisa) and Mary Koestner; and his grandchildren, Elise, Mathew, Adam, Jennifer, Hollis, Mary, Celise, Elizabeth and Jon. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
