James Earl Gibson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Earl Gibson of Bossier City, Louisiana, born in Anniston, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayland Gibson and Elizabeth Earnestine Gibson (Harper); and his sister Gaylon Wyatt (Gibson). He is survived by: his wife Mickey L. Gibson; his sons, James Boyd Gibson, Dana and Gafe J. Gibson; his grandchildren, Shae Newton, Cody, Benjamin Gibson, Emily and Conner Gibson; his great grandchildren, Kynnedy, Caroline and Claire Newton; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wyatt and Sammy Stevenson; his niece Tracie Brown (Steven); and his nephew Keith Wyatt (Kim). He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hodge Baptist Church (1100 S Holly St, Jonesboro, LA 71247). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at the Salem Cemetery.
