He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilton E. Franklin and Zelma Franklin (Emfinger); his wife Melva Rae Beall Franklin; and his brother Dennis Ray Franklin. He is survived by: his sons, Edward E. Franklin and Gregory A. Franklin; and his brothers, Don Franklin (Judy) and Charles Franklin. He is also survived by one niece and several nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel (601 US-80, Haughton, LA 71037).
