He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cole Acosta Cook; his parents, Ellis Edward "Cookie" Cook and Jo-Ann Lanouette Cook; and his sisters, Cheri McDonald (Tim) and Melissa Morgan (Jack). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
In his final act of generosity, Dustin choose to donate his body to science ensuring that his legacy continues to help others.
