She was predeceased by: her son Brian Thacker; her parents, Herman Dorman and Harriet Dorman; and her siblings, Shirley McClure and Howard Dorman.
She is survived by: her son-in-law Jason; her husband Bill (Carter); her daughter Christa Thacker (Jason Myers); her daughter-in-law Cheryl Mastroeni-Thacker; her siblings, Dixie Madsen, Lowell Dorman (Nedra) and Jim Dorman (Janis); and her grandsons, Joel, Philip and Justin Mastroeni. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse or the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, honoring Carol's commitment to helping those in need.
