He is survived by: his parents, Carl Sr. and Lucille McDaniel; his stepson Steven Bright; his wife Ona; his children, Carlos, Melissa McDaniel (Valeda Garside) and Chris McDaniel (Shaun Kelly); his sisters, Mary Ann Gregory and Anita Faye Barker; his stepsons, Nathan Bright (Jessica) and Eli Bright; and also Brenda Brown McDaniel. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
