She was predeceased by: her son Gregory Crain; the father of her children Lavell Crain; her parents, James Williams and Dorothy Williams; and her siblings-in-law, Allen Johnson and Sarah Williams.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Papa Joe" Johnson; her daughters, Cecilia Blackwell (Ed) and Sharon Creel (James); her stepchildren, Cheryl Puckett (Alan) and Tim Johnson (Michelle); her daughter-in-law Sedean Crain; her siblings, Carol Baughman, Jesse Williams, Sylvia Johnson and Gloria Lupo (Phillip); and her sister-in-law Phillippa Tullos (George). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
