He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie James Chapman Sr. and Threathia Lola Magee Chapman; and his siblings, Marie Francis, Elizabeth Brown, Francis Chapman, Linda Chapman, Alice Chapman, Brenda Chapman, Emma Ratliff, Sagger Chapman, Richard Earl Chapman, Roland Chapman, Howard Ratliff and James Ratliff.
He is survived by: his son Sherman Chapman of New Brunswick, N. J.; his sister Eva Marie Chapman of Bogalusa; and his grandchildren, Sherman Chapman Jr. and Shermani Chapman. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
