She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Whitaker Sr.; her father Elmer Rogers Sr. (Mary); her children, Larry Whitaker, Theodore W. Davis, Donice C. Whitaker, Harold Whitaker Jr. and Lillian Hogans; her grandson Eric Shabazz; and her brothers, Elmer Jr., Emmit Sr., Kenneth Ray, Charles, John Henry, Clarence, Talbert George, Leroy and Donald Ray Rogers.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Shabazz of Moreno Valley, Octavia Robinson (Thomas) of Zachary and Dianne Whitaker of Bogalusa; her grandson Norris Whitaker of Denham Springs; her sisters, Rose Anderson (Harold) of Decatur, GA. and Rebecca Ferrell (Fate) of Bogalusa, LA; and her daughters-in-law, Adrianne Whitaker of New Orleans and Lugertha Davis of Omaha, Neb. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
