He was predeceased by: his wife Aline Hobgood Sorrell; his parents, Thad Sorrell and Frances Sorrell; and his siblings, Virgil Sorrell (Hilda), Roxie Haik (Lloyd), Polly Tassin (Johnny), Lillian Penton and Ganelle Sorrell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jo Ann Saltaformaggio (Anthony), Melinda Durand (Ken), Tommie Gail Sorrell and Kimberly Sorrell; his grandsons, Matthew Durand (Becca), Ryan Durand (Hayley), Jared Saltaformaggio and Jessie Joseph Sorrell; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Zachary and Andrew "Drew" Durand; his siblings-in-law, Dollie Hobgood and Eugene Penton; his best buddies, Elbert Harris and Lloyd Ball; his son Eric Harris; and his nephew Keith Penton. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
