He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Byrd and Esther Byrd. He is survived by: his siblings, Diane of Baton Rouge and James Byrd of Baton Rouge; his sister-in-law Nancy Byrd; his nieces, Amanda (Jessie), Sara and Alexandra (Jay); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Aime, Brooklyn (Josh), Brody (Tiffanie), Braeden, Tyler and Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
