He is survived by: his wife Donna Jarrell Simmons; his children, Reginald "Bubba" Bourne II (Sandra) of Bogalusa, Allen Simmons of Bogalusa, Suzanne Simmons Rome (Kenneth) of Bogalusa and Steven "Matt" Simmons of Bogalusa; his grandchildren, Logan, Elise, Hayden, Kaden, Colin, Isabella, Austin, Addison and Grayson; his adoptive mother Geraldine Winters Simmons of Covington; and his siblings, Jill Walters Simmons, James I Simmons Jr. of Asheville, NC, Thomas Hal Simmons of Washougal, WA., Timothy Joseph Simmons of Baton Rouge and Brad Allan Martin (Lorie) of Diamond Head, MS..
