She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. LeRoy Kilpatrick Branch and Willow Watkins Branch; and her brother John Erwin Branch. She is survived by: her siblings, LeRoy Kilpatrick Branch of Opelousas, LA and Rebecca Branch Combee of Baton Rouge, LA; her nephews, Lee Patrick Branch, Nathan Allen Branch, Walter Alton Combee III and Andrew Kilpatrick Combee; and her niece Emily Rebecca Combee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a small donation to Saint Jude's children's cancer center, a charity that Ruth personally supported herself with donations throughout her life as a way to honor both her mother and father.
