He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Mixon, Sr. and Grace Grantham Mixon; and his siblings, Albert Mixon, Jr., Charles "Chuck" A. Mixon (Sarah), Kathleen Mixon McSwain (Robert) and Brenda J. Mixon Carter (Glyn).
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn G. Knight Mixon; his children, Anita G. Mixon Cooper, Robert W. Mixon and Alicia E. Mixon; his grandchildren, Brandyn M. Cooper of Minot, ND. and Savannah G. Smith of Washington Parish; his cousin Calvin Grantham; and his friend Charles Easterling (Charlene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
