He was predeceased by: his father James Smith; and his stepmother Rose Smith. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Smith; his daughter Madison Smith Goings (Devin); his mother Wilda Rester; his siblings, Darlene Williams, David Smith, Edward Smith (Sherry) and Randy Smith (Crystal); and his close friend Frederick "Tommy" Seal (Lila). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Poole Ritchie Funeral Home (216 Alabama Ave, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
