He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Johnson Alinder and Enar Johnson; and his brother Raymond Johnson. He is survived by: his daughters, Becky Walley (Chris) of Bogalusa, LA, Melissa Smith (Donnie) of Picayune, MS and Crissy Johnson of Trumann, Arkansas; his sister Evelyn Holden of Walker, LA; his grandchildren, Justin Walley-Ross (Willie), Ben Walley (Michaela), Heather Smith, Jonathan Smith, Hannah Smith, Holly Smith, Joyanna Smith, Richie Dickerson and Christopher Johnson; his friend Furbaby; and his wife Josephine Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
